    City Carrier Assistant Job Overview

    This role is for individuals who are responsible for delivering mail and packages to homes and businesses on assigned routes. As a City Carrier Assistant, you will be the face of the postal service in your community.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver mail and packages efficiently


    In addition to delivering mail, as a City Carrier Assistant, you will also provide customer assistance by helping customers with postal inquiries and service requests. You must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with customers.  You should have strong problem-solving skills to resolve any issues that may arise during delivery or while interacting with customers.



    Requirements:

    • No prior experience required but you need basic education like secondary school graduation/high school diploma equivalence. USPS offers comprehensive paid training which helps in getting successful career start .

    • The ideal candidate should be physically able to perform duties related this job including standing throughout day walking up/down stairs lifting/carrying heavy items if necessary
