You will also serve as the friendly face of our store, providing expert guidance, answering questions, and ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. Your enthusiasm for gardening, floral design, and customer care will help create memorable experiences while supporting the daily operations of our retail environment. Responsibilities
- Design beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, utilizing your floral design expertise and horticultural knowledge
- Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related products by offering personalized recommendations and creative ideas
- Maintain attractive displays through merchandising, stocking, and organizing floral and gardening items to maximize sales potential
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and organization to ensure product availability and freshness
- Support store operations by performing cashier duties, processing sales transactions efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong interest in floral design, gardening, landscape maintenance or horticulture
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, merchandising strategies, and POS systems
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform retail math calculations confidently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and display setup
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to engage positively with shoppers of all backgrounds
- Basic understanding of lawn care and landscape maintenance is beneficial but not required
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or holidays as needed
