The School of Health at Calvin University invites applications for part-time instruction in the newly developed online Master of Science in Nursing Program for both the Clinical Nurse Leader and Nurse Educator tracks. These appointments will be for a single course within a single semester. Adjuncts are currently being recruited for online asynchronous instruction of 8- or 16-weeks duration in Fall, Spring, Summer semesters in the and school years. These courses are in MSN core and specialty track courses related to the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Educator.

REQUIREMENTS

• A commitment to the Christian faith is essential. Candidates are expected to affirm the Apostle's Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

• A Doctoral degree is preferred for didactic courses, but those with an MSN and five years minimum of relevant experience in the nursing specialty are also encouraged to apply. A minimum of a master's degree plus three years' experience in the nursing specialty track is required for practicum teaching, a doctorate is preferred. Experience as a clinical nurse leader or nurse educator, teaching in nursing, and familiarity with distance education is a plus.

•An active professional license is required and nursing licenses outside the state of MI are a plus.

• All applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach effectively online using a variety of methods and instructional technology as required. Course development training with Instructional technology is required for new courses the semester prior to the start of the course and a stipend will be given for course development work in the first year of the course offering.
