Position Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all plant operations at our Cleburne Manufacturing Plant, specializing in custom wood structures. This includes production, maintenance, and quality control. The Production Manager must ensure that production targets are met while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards. They will also be responsible for improving production processes and implementing strategies to increase efficiency.

Primary Job Roles

• Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant
• Increase production capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs
• Ensure on-time shipping and product quality assurance for custom wood structures
• Improve assembly line operations based on lean principles specific to custom wood production
• Serve as the production contact for project managers of custom wood structure projects
• Allocate resources effectively and utilize assets optimally
• Recruit and hire staff, ensuring they are a good fit for the position
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives
• Monitor operations and take corrective actions as needed
• Develop a trusting relationship with the workgroup and coach plant staff
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and OSHA requirements
• Develop systems and processes to optimize productivity and standards
• Address issues and administer disciplinary actions as required
• Stay up-to-date with production management best practices
• Travel for onsite visits

Job Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Business preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Familiarity with blueprints and AutoCAD drawings
• Self-starter and team player
• Ability to lead, coach, train, and mentor employees
• Excellent communication skills
• High energy level and creative thinker
• Problem solver

• Salary: 75,000+; depending on experience
