    Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Metal Fabrication

    Location: Lugoff, SC

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer with a specialty in metal fabrication and a strong background in project management. This pivotal role focuses on advancing our manufacturing capabilities, ensuring unparalleled quality, and elevating operational efficiency.     Responsibilities:

  • Design, lead, and execute comprehensive metal fabrication projects from concept to completion, leveraging Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Innovate and refine manufacturing processes to reduce waste and enhance product quality.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflows, resolve production issues, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Employ advanced CAD/CAM tools for the development and optimization of manufacturing processes and product designs.
  • Provide expert technical support, address production challenges promptly, and enact effective solutions.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new projects and enhancements.

    • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' of engineering experience
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
  • Proven experience in Machine Shop metal fabrication, including CNC machining, welding, and sheet metal forming.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
  • Background with Yaskawa Motoman or OTC Daihen robotics programming preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a focus on Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Prefer experience with powder coating and similar processes.
