    About the Graland Admission Office
    The Admission Office is often the first point of contact for the school. All admission team members are responsible for establishing a positive, welcoming atmosphere. The office works with families from all backgrounds and ensures that the admission process is accessible and equitable. The admission team works closely together to support one another in order to achieve the school's admission goals. The environment is fast paced and constantly changing, which requires team members to be able to multitask, innovate, and adapt quickly.
    Position Overview
    The admissions associate brings leadership and experience to elevate the work of the team and works closely with all admissions team members in all aspects of the admission process. The admissions associate interacts with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the public in a warm, welcoming, and efficient manner. This position will be required to manage multiple databases, analyze and interpret data in order to bring recommendations to the teams. This position will manage a variety of simultaneous admission tasks while responding to the needs of prospective families, and with time will take on expanded responsibilities.

    Terms: Full-time, on-site, exempt, can be a 10 or 12 month position
    Job Responsibilities
    Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

    Recruitment and Retention:
    • Welcome visitors and help to ensure a positive experience for them at Graland.
    • Cultivate leads responding to inquiries from prospective families.
    • Compose and manage communications with families throughout the entirety of the admission process.
    • Coordinate admission events.
    • Create and participate in outreach opportunities including school fairs and community events.
    • Conduct individual and group tours of campus.
    • Interview parents of applicants.
    • Lead and present at parent information sessions.
    • Organize, observe, and work with applicants during school group visits.
    • Observe and conduct testing with applicants.
    • Organize and oversee the ISEE and SSAT tests.
    • Participate in admission committees.
    • Connect with the current Graland student and faculty community via participating in activities.

    Data Management:
    • Ability to manage the admission database, as well as the use of Excel and Google Docs to track and analyze data necessary for admission work.
    • Identify, analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from data trends in order to continually develop and improve the admission process.
    • Participate in the admission database refresh process year-to-year.
    • Develop data reports and graphs for annual school reporting.
    Financial Aid:
    • Assist families in completing the financial aid application process.
    • Maintain financial aid files through the Clarity portal.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial aid information.
    • Coordinate and respond to communications regarding financial aid.
    • Work closely with the director of admission to track financial aid data.

    Enrollment:
    • Manage the re-enrollment and enrollment processes in conjunction with the registrar and the business office.

    Marketing & Communications:
    • Work in conjunction with the communications department to send admission communications to families.
    • Create, manage, and send database communications to applicants.
    Events:
    • Help coordinate all admission related outreach and on campus events.

    Community, Retention and Outreach Initiatives:
    • Work with the director and admissions team members to develop initiatives and events focused on building community, retention and outreach. Responsible for planning and implementing these initiatives.
    • Actively participates in the school community and assists with other duties.
    Professional and Personal Qualities:
    • Minimum requirements – Bachelor of Arts or higher.
    • Three years experience in a school setting, admissions experience a plus, or in a related, customer-focused field.
    • Highly motivated with a passion for education. Knowledge of child development preferred.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data in order to make data informed decisions and present insights.
    • Excels in customer service and relationships; warm, positive, and friendly presence.
    • Strong interpersonal skills that are conducive to working with a collaborative team and instrumental in establishing and sustaining effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and volunteers.
    • Ability to take initiative, create solutions, and work autonomously.
    • Ability to multitask and change gears quickly. Thrives in a work environment with multiple, simultaneous projects, and frequent interruptions.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills, keeping an attention to detail, and effective project management.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline enrollment and admissions processes, improve data quality, and enhance overall efficiency.
    • Strong computer skills, including experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Suite, and database management.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work with families from all backgrounds to ensure the admission process is accessible and inclusive.

    Compensation and Benefits
    Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Salary for a 12 month salary is $60,000-$70,000. Benefits include professional development, employer-paid health, vision, dental and life insurance, paid time off for school holidays and school vacations, as well as participation in a retirement plan. Daily free lunch, access to an on-campus workout facility, and opportunities based on availability for subsidized on-site child care.
