We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for a manufacturing company in Hartford County. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience programming CNC machines with Mastercam, Solidworks, or Catia. Also must have knowledge of the CNC setup process. First shift, full time, direct hire position.

Responsibilities

Program Development:
Translate engineering drawings, models, and specifications into CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, CATIA). Develop efficient tool paths, cutting strategies, and machining sequences to achieve desired part geometry and surface finish.

Tool Selection and Optimization:
Select appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and machining parameters based on material properties, part geometry, and production requirements. Optimize tool paths, feeds, and speeds to maximize material removal rates while maintaining tool life and minimizing production costs.

Process Optimization:
Analyze and refine machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cycle times. Implement best practices, tooling strategies, and programming techniques to optimize productivity and reduce setup and machining times.

Simulation and Verification:
Conduct virtual simulations and toolpath verification to validate CNC programs and detect potential collisions, errors, or machining issues. Fine-tune programs based on simulation results to ensure safe and accurate machining operations.

Documentation and Version Control:
Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, revisions, and setup sheets. Document machining parameters, tooling configurations, and process details to facilitate replication and troubleshooting.
