    Job Description and Requirements



    Synopsys is seeking a senior staff solution engineer for emerging foundries. You will strategize closely with both foundry customer and Synopsys Sales and be responsible to deliver an engineering solution meeting Power, Performance, and cost entitlements as well as production quality for a large- scale deployment to their end customers. This is a challenging role that requires prior experience understanding foundry workings as well as technical understating of advanced complex layout rules, cell architectures, and physical design implementation tools to realize next generation node entitlement at these emerging foundry partners. You will guide and mentor seasoned cross functional engineering teams knowledgeable with solving complex new node technical challenges to meet Synopsys business objectives working closely with sales and product teams. You will work closely with R&D on bleeding edge technology to become the Synopsys spokesperson to the new foundry partners.

    Role:

  • Identify, execute and deliver a highly differentiated and profitable digital design expert consulting platform targeting emerging foundry companies.
  • Develop new proposals for emerging foundries working with Sales and customers to secure contracts. Demonstrate learning agility in new areas and cover entire Synopsys tools portfolio.
  • Work closely with R&D on bleeding edge technology and be the Synopsys spokesperson to new foundry partners.

  • Qualifications:
  • MSEE or BSEE with 15+ years of digital design experiences and/or chip design.
  • RTL2GDS flow and methodology specialist - direct work with foundry a plus
  • Strong understanding of advanced node technologies and challenges (3nm, 2nm and beyond).
  • Ability to be proactive and have a strategic mindset in addition to having tactical problem-solving experience.
  • Leadership skills to drive solutions within R&D across the Synopsys tool portfolio
  • Experience supporting mid/large customers managing escalations and ability to persuade decision-makers
  • Ability to work across-organizations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty.

    "The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $189,000-$283,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
