    The DarkStar Group is seeking a Cloud Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Tysons, VA.

    THE PROGRAM The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community.

    We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013.

    THE PROJECT
    The Sponsor has multiple application teams supporting a portfolio which is the central repository for all Sponsor's created applications.

    The Sponsor provides state of the art systems on cloud and applications based on products such as AWS, Oracle, SharePoint, and other web-based solutions.

    The Sponsor requires support for developing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining the current cloud-based infrastructure solutions for multiple project teams. The Contractor will work directly with the Sponsor and other technical team members to perform infrastructure maintenance.

    The Role * The Contractor shall lead the projects teams to integrate Sponsor's systems with a new web-based system, replacing the legacy enterprise messaging system, which will reside in the Sponsor's cloud environment.

    * The Contractor shall assist Sponsor's Partners to setup AI/ML environments.

    * The Contractor shall assist Sponsor's Partners to setup access to data in the enterprise messaging system to reduce manual review on responding to questions and automatically extract and tag important data.

    * The Contractor shall maintain systems and applications in the Sponsor's cloud environment. * The Contractor shall optimize operational efficiency of systems and applications in a cloud environment. * The Contractor shall work to ensure security compliance within the cloud infrastructure. * The Contractor shall design, develop, implement cloud-based solutions for optimization. * The Contractor shall maintain cloud-based solutions. * The Contractor shall deploy and debug cloud stacks. * The Contractor shall educate teams on new cloud initiatives. * The Contractor shall maintain the security of the cloud infrastructure. Required Skills * Demonstrated experience providing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support to production systems to include troubleshooting. * Demonstrated experience with cloud platform administration such as Amazon Web Services. * Demonstrated experience with configuration and infrastructure management of technical components, including hardware, software, and data. * Demonstrated experience developing and continuing improvement of automation and procedures scripts. * Demonstrated experience in analyzing and supporting cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services. * Demonstrated experience monitoring system performance and recommending corrective action. * Demonstrated experience documenting cloud environment and maintaining the documentation. * Demonstrated experience with infrastructure-as-code software such as Terraform or Ansible. * Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python. * Demonstrated experience with Linux or Linux Administration. * Demonstrated experience with software version control management such as GitHub. * Demonstrated experience with application build pipelines such as Jenkins. Desired Skills (Optional) * Demonstrated experience obtaining Sponsors authentication and accreditation certification for systems with highly sensitive data.

    * Demonstrated experience complying with Sponsor's regulations and policies regarding systems integration with external services (such as access control or auditing), patching and maintaining current versions of software, outage reporting, accessibility requirements, internal-use software reporting, or auditing.

    * Demonstrated experience using JIRA, Confluence or SharePoint. * Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service. * Demonstrated experience briefing technical topics to a non-technical audience. * Demonstrated experience operating within the life cycle management process when implementing changes in technology. * Demonstrated experience effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

    * Demonstrated experience excelling both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment and security best practices.

    * Demonstrated experience with problem-solving skills. * Demonstrated experience with oral and written communication skills. * Demonstrated experience with strong leadership abilities and experience juggling competing priorities. * AWS Certification or other relevant certifications.
