- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be a current or can become a registered member of the BSA
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Fulfill all obligations contained within the volunteered position reporting to that area's Director
- Provide valid credential or certificate of training (if applicable)
- Activity based volunteer positions required a weight limit between 50-250lbs and lifting up to 60lbs
- Non-activity based volunteer positions require lifting up to 50lbs
- All meals during stay provided by SBR
- Lodging in 10' x 12' staff wall tent (concrete platforms and electricity)
- Staff shirts provided
- Special edition patch available only to Mountaineer Volunteers
- Time off with access to Summit program venues

Volunteer Requirements:
Available Positions:
Individuals who wish to work for positions that require credentials (i.e. Aerial, Shooting Sports, Lifeguards, etc.) must provide proof of training and hold that credential before arrival. The Summit may provide certificate level training for unpaid staff, but this training is not a guarantee. During the application process, you will select preferred department areas and provide details on why you want these roles.
