- The essential role of chassis repair technicians to maintain, and repair trailers used for national and international shipping distribution. A chassis repair technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance when equipment is out of service or when stationary in the distribution yard. Job Responsibilities and accountability:· Troubleshoot and repair all chassis/trailer defects. · Including ABS systems; air brake system, wheels end, and structural assemblies · Some welding and fabrication of chassis and shipping containers. · Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs. Job Requirements:· Mechanical background. · Valid Driver's License. · Ability to work outside in all types of weather · Capable of working at heights of 50 to 150 feet · Must be willing to be on call weekdays, Weekends and Holidays · Capable of lifting 50lbs with or without assistance · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. · Must have basic computer skills and comfortable working on a computer.
