    Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) began providing services to students in 1852 and is located in the heart of California's Central Valley near the banks of the San Joaquin River.

    Requirements / Qualifications


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Degree or completion of 48 semester units from accredited college or university. Proof of NCLB Compliance consisting of degree or completion of 48 units or more from an accredited college or university or District Assessment Test/County Certificate showing compliance with NCLB. (SUSD proficiency test taken before 07/01/04 does not meet this requirement). EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
    • Early childhood education background and experience working with children ages 3-5 is desired. CERTIFICATES REQUIRED Pediatric CPR certificate and a valid First Aid Certificate preferred No Child Left Behind Federal Requirement
    • High School Graduation or GED and Minimum of 48 college units -OR- Proficiency Exam Proficiency Exam details: The Proficiency Exam is offered on select Mondays at 8am in the SUSD District office, located at 56 S. Lincoln St, Stockton, CA Must register in advance - -Up to 4 hours allotted to complete the exam -Bring a picture ID and proof of High School completion (diploma or transcript) *Any foreign transcripts must be evaluated *PROOF OF COMPLIANCE MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION*A completed application must include: Resume, Letter of Interest and proof of education, training and experience.
