    This role directly reports to the Machinery Manufacturing Manager and involves designing electrical control systems for heat seal packaging machinery from inception to completion. The responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive, and the engineer is expected to take on any assigned tasks regardless of whether they are explicitly mentioned.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Designing and developing machine controls for heat seal packaging machinery
    • Creating electrical schematics using AutoCAD Software or equivalent
    • Developing electrical enclosure panel layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent software
    • Compiling machine controls Bill of Materials using Syteline ERP system
    • Testing and debugging electrical control circuits
    • Integrating various inkjet, laser, or robotic systems
    • Programming machine control components including A-B PLC's, HMI's, and others
    • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Aiding in machine manual development and quoting requirements
    • Providing technical support to machine assembly and sales teams as necessary
    • Communicating project progress, goal achievement, and customer expectations effectively to department manager

    We'd love to hear from you if:

    • Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
    • Capability to work with minimal supervision
    • Familiarity with electronic test instrumentation
    • Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming
    • Experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment with electro-mechanical components
    • Competence in using AutoCAD software for electrical design
    • Basic computer skills for file processing, email, web navigation, and MS Office
    • Adaptability to new machine control software and updates
    • Positive team-oriented work demeanor
    • Minimum one year experience (internships or co-ops acceptable)
