    Our client is a prominent private household seeking a skilled and experienced Private Chef to cater to their culinary needs during their stay in the Hamptons this summer. The family values exquisite cuisine prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients, and attention to dietary preferences and restrictions.

    Job description

    As a contract Private Chef, you will be working along side the family Private Chef and be responsible for planning and preparing meals for the family, guests and staff throughout their stay in the Hamptons. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while creating diverse menus, sometimes elaborated, sometimes simple family style, that cater to their tastes and dietary requirements. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and exhibit professionalism and discretion at all times.

    Key responsibilities
    • Plan and create customized menus that align with the preferences and dietary needs of the family.
    • Source high-quality, seasonal ingredients from local vendors and markets.
    • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, as well as snacks and occasional special meals for guests.
    • Ensure all meals are presented beautifully and plated promptly.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food storage areas.
    • Accommodate special dietary restrictions and preferences as required.
    • Manage kitchen inventory and grocery shopping efficiently.

    Qualifications
    • Proven experience as a Private Chef or similar role, preferably in a high-end residential setting.
    • Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
    • Ability to create innovative and visually appealing dishes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules and last-minute requests.
    • Valid driver's license and passport.


    Additional information
    • Contract date: June 29th to August 5th 2024
    • Live-in (accommodation provided).
