Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced onsite Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations.
This position requires the ability to travel internationally for training purposes (3 weeks in Germany within the first 4 months of employment, potentially).
The ideal candidate will be open to immersing themselves in different cultures and working collaboratively with teams from around the world to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business and industry.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automated systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations
Develop and maintain control systems for automated equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated systems and equipment
Participate in the development and implementation of new products and processes
Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to automated systems and equipment
Create and maintain documentation related to automation processes and systems
Train and mentor other team members on automation processes and systems
Qualifications
8+ years of experience leadinginstrumentation, controls, andautomation engineering efforts during construction/commissioning project phases
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC
Experience with OT/IT interface, OSI PI system and System Virtualization
Experience with cement, metal, chemical, or mining industries
Experience with server-client architecture Industrial communications such as Profinet, Modbus, OPC-UA etc.
Experience with automation software and hardware systems, such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA
Experience with OT/IT interface, OSI PI system
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
