    Department: Nursing Med Surg Units

    Shift timings: Morning shift 07:00 - 19:30 Hours

    Roles & Responsibilities
    • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
    • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
    • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
    • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Unit Capacity: 24 Beds, one lead lined room suitable for radiation isolation
    • Population Served: Patients with the following diagnosis: Solid tumors (most frequently lung, breast, colon)/Leukemia, Lymphomas, Myeloma/Gynecologic malignancies (primarily ovarian and cervical)/Cancer symptom management/Febrile Neutropenia/Uncontrolled pain/Sickle Cell Anemia/Hematologic diseases/Post operative Mastectomy/Post operative Gynecological Oncology/Med/Surg overflow
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
    • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
    • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
    • The ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Strong technical skills.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Passionate about patient care
    • Requires a minimum of two years of RN Med/Surg experience.
    • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
    • Active unencumbered RN Illinois state license
    • One year of Epic experience
    Requirements
    • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
