    Commercial HVAC Foreman

    Job Summary:

    Foreman is a skilled position directing the installation, modification, and repair of HVAC systems, equipment, in commercial, industrial environments. Individual is responsible for planning, laying out, participating in, and supervising work on job sites and or in the shop. Individual works with moderate independence but has daily contact with superiors.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Organize projects in the field and maintain active knowledge of project parameters.
    • Obtain and study the project drawings and specifications. Including scope of work as defined by our contract with the General contractor.
    • Maintain open communication with General contractor and attend project meetings.
    • Maintain recorded documents and approved submittals.
    • Notify project manager if there are missing submittals.
    • Maintain daily log of potential changes or back charges and unusual circumstances that may warrant attention.
    • Report back charges and change orders to project managers. If project manager agrees to change orders, then fill out change order request and submit to project
    • Assist with writing and submitting all requests for information (RFI s) and maintain log of all RFI s.
    • Install HVAC systems to meet local and state codes.
    • Train journeymen, apprentices, and laborers.
    • Supervise all Hill Country Pro HVAC personnel that you are responsible for.
    • Report tardiness and disciplinary issues to PM/HR.
    • Receive approval for overtime before committing employees.
    • Maintain a positive workplace, coordinate in advance with other trades.
    • Resolve issues between PMs before reporting to General contractor.
    • Maintain project schedule and notify project manager of manpower needs daily for the following week.
    • Review materials needed for the job well in advance.
    • Notify Purchasing agent of all materials needed and receive purchase orders for all materials and equipment.
    • When materials arrive on site, review packing list and report any deficiencies.
    • Notify project manager of any items that will improve project productivity.
    • Optimize labor to reduce project costs.
    • Coordinates with Startup tech/crew.
    • The ability to read and from blueprints.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to Hill Country Pro HVAC policies and standards.
    • Report to work on time.
    • Maintain a safe and clean work site.
    • Keep company Vehicles clean.
    • Comply with the standards for HVAC systems as dictated by the State in which work is being done.
    • Prepare for Job site conditions during inclement weather such as extreme heat, cold or precipitation.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • 7+ years commercial HVAC installation
    • 2+ years of HVAC foreman experience
    • Position requires a proven ability to manage people and communicate with our staff.
    • Able to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

    Physical Demand:

    • Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, during the shift.
    • Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
    • Ability to regularly kneel repetitively during shift.
    • Able to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift.
