Computer Systems Administrator-Journeyman

Location:
Remote

Responsibilities:

Provide email administration support that provides Tier Two (2) expertise to support email systems and related services to ensure the availability and functionality of production systems.

Accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures.

Assist in advising and supporting Tier Two (2) projects or initiatives in which a knowledge of email services is required such as migrations or collections; complete technical assignments; and take appropriate action to ensure that PC and server-based systems schedules are met.

Maintain security configurations for servers and images; review and recommend releases of patches; and schedule and perform monthly patches in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Research and implement complex, and custom configurations to accommodate specific business needs involving automated workflow or processing.

Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of mail server configurations, mail routing, and mail protocols.

The candidate shall be Proficient in the following areas:

Messaging replication schemes, mail routing, message tracing and tracking, and troubleshooting,

Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), and Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)(s) protocols and troubleshooting,

Manipulating permissions at the server, database, and document levels.

Manual creation and manipulation of server configuration items, end-users, groups, and generic accounts.

Understanding and expertise in appropriate scripting technology.

Should be proficient with O365 Email End User Support, O365 Admin console, Microsoft (MS) Outlook Client and Outlook Web Access (OWA) configuration support, MS Security and Compliance Center, Azure Active Directory Connect
