    Petroleum Engineering Technician - Houston, United States - PO&G Resources, LP

    PO&G Resources is a rapidly growing, twenty-three-year-old private oil and gas company located in the Galleria/Uptown area of Houston, TX. With the ongoing expansion of our operations across multiple areas in the US and the launch of a second investor fund, the company is seeking a key individual to fill the position of Petroleum Engineering Technician. The candidate will report to the Supervisor – Regulatory and Production Reporting and work directly with the company's Operations Engineers and field personnel.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Managing all aspects of the company's Avocet production reporting system to gather and analyze production data,
    • Work directly with the software vendor to troubleshoot and resolve issues in data capture or reporting,
    • Working directly with the regulatory department to facilitate timely and accurate reporting of production data to state and federal agencies,
    • Working directly with the accounting department to generate production reports for management and financial statements,
    • Working with field personal to insure timely and accurate reporting of production data,
    • Assisting the Operations Engineers in projects to increase production and enhance field operations,

    Qualifications: Previous engineering tech experience or bachelor's degree in engineering with zero to three years of experience:

    • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative environment with both management and engineering team,
    • Proficiency with Excel is a must, proficiency in database management a plus,
    • Self-starter who can pro-actively manage the completion of projects,
    • Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving; hands on worker,
    • Well organized in order to plan work schedule and project completion,
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

    PO&G acquires conventional and unconventional oil and gas properties and increases their value by improving operations such as artificial lift, water flood optimization, and vertical infill drilling. The company's current oil and gas properties are located in: Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Indiana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Utah and Mississippi. West Texas, Indiana, and Oklahoma are the company's largest operating regions. Current gross / net production is 5,000 / 3,500 BOE/D. The company plans to continue its historical growth rate by doubling production every three years.
