    Role This role is for a Senior Software Engineer on the new Cloud License Reporting team, which is responsible for the experiences and tools that Splunk Administrators use to understand their Splunk Cloud entitlements and visualize their license usage.

    This team plays a critical role in how the Splunk platform can help administrators understand the value they get from Splunk.

    Splunk is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative frontend engineer to work closely with product owners and designers to build and support a suite of customer-facing Splunk applications to visualize, attribute, and optimize license usage for Splunk Cloud.

    Youll also enable internal stakeholders by developing tools to monitor and investigate license usage during customer escalations.

    This team owns the license usage experiences for the Splunk Cloud platform, which spans multiple feature requests from other product teams.

    So youll collaborate with product owners to drive the priority of the teams roadmap, and help balance internal and external feature requests by folding in feedback you get directly from our customers.

    What Youll Do Create modern and interactive UI using React across a suite of internal and external Splunk appsBreak down complex features and tasks for yourself and others to execute onDesign and build comprehensive test suites to ensure maintainability and stabilityBe involved in customer feedback sessions and escalations, to get a first-hand understanding of how to solve their problemsWork with UX designers and product managers to understand customer requirementsCollaborate within the team through open design discussions and code reviews.

    Collaborate with product managers and architects to build robust front-end UI to visualize dataParticipate in an automated CI / CD development model with a quality-driven release processJoin an on-call rotation to help assess the priority of customer escalations and troubleshoot critical issuesWhat Youll Need Proficiency level experience building javascript web pages using modern frameworks such as ReactProficiency with agile and cloud-driven development processes using CICD systemsProficiency with front-end testing tools and frameworks such as CypressStrong communication and collaboration skills as youll be working with cross-functional teamsExperience with working on a customer-facing product is desirableExperience with Splunk software is desirable but not requiredSplunk is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Splunk, we believe creating a culture of belonging isnt just the right thing to do; its also the smart thing.

    Base Pay Range:
    $139, ,280.00 per yearSplunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
