Adecco has partnered with an Aerospace Defense and Space Manufacturing company to hire a Director of Engineer in Austin, TX.

Job Summary:
Lead the Engineering team through significant growth.
This role oversees a multidisciplinary team focusing on the development of new technologies and products for key markets:
Space and Military.
The Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership and business units to implement and deliver engineering strategies and policies aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Implement Best-In-Class Product Development processes in Aerospace & Defense using Lean and Design for Six Sigma.
Ensure optimal tool and resource availability for efficient and cost-effective program execution.
Enhance manufacturing capabilities within budget and on schedule.
Ensure compliance with Quality Management System standards and regulations.
Lead and develop the engineering team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Oversee department operations, including design document release and production planning.
Contribute to corporate strategy for new product directions and customer base expansion.
Manage annual operating and capital equipment budgets.
Requirements:
10+ years of engineering management in Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Optical, and/or Systems Engineering.
Experience in leading and improving an Engineering organization using Lean Six Sigma.
Deep knowledge of Aerospace & Defense market, particularly RF and microwave sub-assemblies.
Understanding of US Government procurement processes and a current Security Clearance.
