    Practice Manager
    Healing Paws Veterinary Hospital

    is seeking a Full-Time Practice Manager that wants to grow with a full-service hospital.

    An ideal Practice Manager would support the hospital, doctors, and team, to be a respected and compassionate leader,? to uphold our core values, and bring our mission to life each day.

    Hospital Hours

    Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM – 6:00pm

    Saturday (First & Third): 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    Closed Sundays


    Practice Manager Duties:


    Responsible for overseeing administrative duties including expense management, cash, control/banking, loss prevention, office, and medical supply ordering, staff scheduling, and inventory management.


    Oversee the daily operations of the hospital and actively manage all employees with frequent and direct communication on daily responsibilities and workflow.


    Act in the manager capacity majority of the time, but allow flexibility to step in as needed to support the hospital as a VA or Receptionist.

    Participate in weekly meeting with partner verterinarian.

    Work with partner veterinarian to Identify areas for improvement in operational processes, goals, ideas and hospital vision.

    Participate in the recruitment and selection process.

    Develop meaningful connection with clients.


    Direct, lead, and mentor employees to realize their potential through individual goal setting and frequent communication to monitor progress and tweak goals as needed.

    Routinely lead hospital meetings and one-on-one meetings with employees and doctors.

    Oversee facility cleanliness and organization.

    Ensure compliance with all practice policies and procedures and with all local state and federal laws.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities
    Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, and unpleasant odors.

    Ability to always communicate professionally and effectively and maintain professionalism in emotionally charged / challenging situations.

    Ability to provide high quality customer service embodying a yes culture for clients.

    Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

    Ability to work effectively with computers, software, and electronics.


    Physical Requirements:
    Ability to lift patients with or without reasonable accommodations.

    Ability to stand for extended periods of time.


    Ability to lift, carry or move up to 50 pounds as well as walk, bend, twist, reach, push, and squat most of the workday.


    Education and Experience:
    Veterinary medicine experience preferred.
