Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Controller to become an integral part of our team You will oversee financial activities and personnel as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Develops, monitors, tracks, performs and reports financial processes and analysis to maximize operations, improve processes, and increase revenue, while reducing costs as it relates to department financials; scope includes all Operating, Capital and Project Replacement financials and budgets.

Position Responsibilities:

Timely and accurate Preparation of Monthly Accounts and Financial Statements with GAAP compliance, responsible for the month-end close and reporting process.

Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting of balance sheets and ledger maintenance.
Ensure all G/L Transactions are accurate and detailed to facilitate reporting.
Implement appropriate accounting processes and internal controls as needed.
Provide support to management in the financial management process and distribute financial reports as appropriate.
Tracks and processes financial data (may include requisitions, invoices, expenses, check requests) and ensures audit compliance.

Develop tools and create standards for tracking and monitoring financial processes for department-specific financials and budgets and mentors and coaches finance staff.

Assist with Financial AuditsAssist with the preparation of the Annual Budget.
Assist with systems development.

Cross Training into other areas of the full accounting processAs the company evolves, and continues to grow, so will this role.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting.
At least 3-5 years experience working in a business and accounting role, with experience in preparing Financial Statements.


GAAP:
3-5 years (Required)Advanced Accounting skills.
