    AES Clean Energy is currently seeking an Associate Developer for its renewable energy projects in ERCOT & SPP


    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    Support management activities for early stage solar and solar + storage energy projects in ERCOT & SPP

    Coordinate with the internal land, permitting, engineering and interconnection teams as well as outside consultants on an as needed basis to ensure that projects are meeting development milestones, development risks are being mitigated, and project returns are maximized

    Initiate and/or support relationships with local jurisdictions to ensure projects are obtaining all possible incentives and have good standing within the local communities

    Assist in maintaining development asset database with project inputs

    Assist in maintaining financial model data as needed for the development pipeline

    Assist in acquisition of development assets and/or platforms on an as needed basis

    Support the land, permitting, engineering and interconnection teams on an as needed basis with research, analysis and in-person meetings or phone calls

    Support the utility and commercial power marketing teams on an as needed basis for RFP responses and other off-taker outreach

    Research emerging renewable energy markets and support identification of new development prospects

    Desired Skills and Expertise:
    Organizational, engineering, communication, management, decision making/problem solving, analytical and time management skills2-3 years' experience working in the power industry, preference for experience in ERCOT & SPPProficiency in Microsoft Suite OfficeAble to demonstrate experience dealing successfully with peers, subordinates, management, and unaffiliated third partiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsPassion for renewable energy industryTravel might be requiredEducation:

    BS/BA degree required with concentration in engineering, environmental, planning, business, finance or economics.

    The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $85.000 and $106.250/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

    If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
