    Description
    We are currently searching for a Material Handler to be based out of Binghamton NY.

    Reporting to the Production Manager, this person will be responsible for packaging product, monitor product for defects, assist in the startup or changeover of products, keep work area's safe, clean & organized.

    The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.


    What you'll do:


    Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Confirm product with scheduleAssist with Quality Control duties including Monitor saw cuts, Pipe length, Bell fit, Print line confirmation, Chamfer/Bevel, and Reference line spacingPackage finished pipe in proper crate quantitiesWeigh and transport finished productCut crate boards to proper lengths and adjust if neededProcess re-grind / scrap pipeAssist with the running of the PVC extrusion linesHelp with changeovers and stringing the line downstream and through the sawUnderstand how to get pipe into specificationAble to identify pipe products that are out of specificationPerform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.

    Able to prioritize tasks effectively to manage time in order to be proficient with all material handling and packaging devices.

    What you'll bring:
    Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalentExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsGood understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculationsAttention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizationMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical mannerMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 50 pounds unassistedExperience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus

    Within 3 months, you'll:
    Complete any required training.
    Have developed relationships within the department.
    Be well-versed in Fabrication strategic priorities and the importance of your role to daily operations.
    This position pays $ $21.50 per hour, plus aggressive bonus structure.
