    Epic Analyst (EpicCare)
    Boston, MA
    The Epic Systems Analyst is responsible for in-depth knowledge of

    assigned Epic System software (EpicCare). He/she conducts regular day-to-day communication, reviews the software, demonstrates a deeper understanding of business operations, and works with Epic, the Project Team regarding the upgrade

    Performs analysis, design, development and maintenance of Epic Ambulatory Modules (EpicCare)
    Configures vendor applications and products
    Analysis of workflows, system details and technical issues associated with the Epic application
    Scopes multiple major and minor enhancements in accordance with ISS standards and best practices
    Analyzing new functionality and recommends how it should be used to prioritize and implement requested changes to the system
    Troubleshooting problems and questions from end users. Provides support of daily and ad-hoc requests.
    Interfacing with key IT, clinical, business and operations staff to assist in the development of efficient workflows.
    Maintains system documentation and develops system specifications and procedures
    Defines and documents user requirements
    Applies project planning and project management methodologies
    Coordinates and leads short duration projects; monitoring project process, progress and results
    Develops test plans, prepares test data and performs system testing
    Takes on-call for system application support at scheduled times
    Audits data entered by end users
    Troubleshoots and tracks issues and problems
    Applies systems development methodology to solve problems
    Experience with EMR build and configuration
    Strong EpicCare experience and MyChart experience
    Experience with Medication Administration Record (MAR, or eMAR for electronic versions)
    Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical practices and principles

    Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical practices and principles
    Position Qualifications Include
    Minimum 4 years' experience
    Experience with EpicCare certification required
    Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems or health care related field
    Experience working in a hospital or other health care organization desirable
    Experience implementing industry best practices to drive optimized operations
    Excellent oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiences
    Exceptional organizational skills to facilitate work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
    Able to articulate customer business problems
    Strong technical command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office suite, departmental applications)
