    Trusted leader in Environmental services this company located East of DTC is looking for a dynamic Cost Accountant to join their teamThe Cost Accountant will report to the CFO.

    Duties of the Cost AccountantManage inventory costing and product cost of sales Run costing and inventory reports from GL systems and other sources Reconcile subledger systems to GL and record journal entries as appropriate Analyze inventory, cost of sales and inventory variance GL accounts for accuracy and reasonableness Reconcile vendor rebate accruals, freight costs and various other operational accounts Analyze significant product cost changes and revisions Assist in the budgeting process Provide financial analysis and insights into critical value drivers of the business Work closely with Controller and key stakeholders (primarily Operations and Supply Chain) to optimize internal controls, accounting processes, automation and reporting Assist the Controller in analyzing operational KPIs across the organization Analyze and explore opportunities to reduce cost and drive efficiencies Additional responsibilities as defined by management Qualifications for the Cost
    Minimum 3 years experience in accounting or finance Analytical thinker who enjoys working with operations Experience with advanced ERP accounting software, larger ERP system experience highly desirable.

    Strong analytical skills, strong Excel skills and an attention to detail required.
