    Data Governance Analyst (Remote)
    We have an immediate need for a contract Data Governance Analyst to join a premier management consulting firm.

    The Data Governance Analyst collaborates with key firm functions to drive the successful execution of cloud data and analytics initiatives and creation of business value for the firm.

    This job expects to pay about $ per hour plus benefits.

    What You Will Do:
    Responsible for overall relationship management with Firm Functions and Business Unit (BU) stakeholders
    Works with the BUs to cultivate data ownership, drive data cataloging activities, define data quality rules, and establish data stewardship to support the business' data and analytics roadmap
    Defines and executes the data enablement (data governance) roadmap to ensure ongoing adoption and rollout of Central Data Management vision across the business data environment
    Collaborates with key functions and business domains to drive the successful execution of cloud data and analytics initiatives and creation of business value for the firm
    Works with data owners, data stewards, and business process owners to map business & data strategic objectives to Cloud Data Management (CDM) initiatives
    Establishes business and technology stakeholder requirements (i.e., data ownership, stewardship, and custodianship) and drives adoption of CDM and capabilities across Firm function BUs and product teams
    Guides data stewards to develop data catalogs, data quality rules, information flow maps (including authoritative systems and owners), and operational workflows

    What Gets You The Job:
    Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of experience working in a complex technology driven business, and cross-functional environment, including but not limited to governance, compliance, security, application development, enterprise-wide data–centric

    functions/initiatives,

    process improvement
    4-6 years of experience in data governance, information management roles, and delivering complex data management engagements
    Demonstrated experience with defining, implementing, and managing data governance & management program; keen understanding of the role of data governance in successful implementation of data strategy
    5+ years of experience in business facing roles for clients, business functions such as HR, Finance, etc.
    Strong understanding of best practices relating to metadata management, data quality, process design, and root cause analysis
    Demonstrated experience in establishing data management practices to comply with privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.
    Leadership and communication skills to effectively communicate with a wide variety is stakeholders
