Matrix Providers is hiring a Physician Assistant to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the Naval Health Clinic in Newport, RI.

Role:
Medical Homeport Clinic

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
No nights
Sign on Bonus eligible role

Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

Experience:
As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions.

The skills to recognize emergency conditions, diagnose, prescribe for, and treat diseases, disorders, and injuries, and refer the more complex cases and severe conditions to qualified medical personnel and perform the designated treatment.

Provide a full range of Physician Assistant services in primary and specialty medical care within the limits of their training and privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any organ systems; Technically direct and teach other staff, provide educational lectures and participate in in-service training for staff members.

Promote preventive care and health maintenance, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care through formal and individual education and counseling.

Establish collaborative rapport with physicians, nursing, and others to promote and facilitate primary care services.
Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement.
