    Responsibilities:


    Leverages extensive technical expertise and knowledge of end user workflows to oversee the planning, development, implementation and support of hospital information systems/solutions.

    Ensures that systems are implemented and functioning under the guidance of acceptable University policies and procedures and meet all regulatory requirements.

    Develops testing strategies according to system build and downstream system requirements. Develops and manages complex projects. Provides work direction and guidance to the analyst and project staff as needed.

    For the purpose of a project or assignment, may report to a Manager or Associate Director for assignment and tasks.


    Qualifications:


    Bachelors Degree, with preference for Hospital Administration, a health related discipline (Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.), Computer Science, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science, or related clinical field.

    Licensure in a clinical profession is preferred. Five (5) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates within a hospital environment. Extensive technical expertise and understanding of end user workflows. Direct experience with electronic medical records is a plus; prior Epic experience is highly desirable. Must complete certification on Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training. Demonstrates interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment. Excellent oral and written communications skills, interpersonal skills and capable of functioning/leading in a team environment. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements. Additional relevant system or clinical experience may be substituted for information systems experience.
