This position will operate in a hybrid/remote setting, with the expectation of being able to come into the office once per week, and as needed.

What you will be doing:
As an IT Application Developer, you will serve as a technical expert data developer and analyst, contributing to the success of SCC programs by overseeing the design, development, testing, and implementation of databases and related elements within the SCC Suite of applications.
Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the efficiency of both new and existing databases, managing data exchange activities between interfacing systems, and handling all Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for SCC products.
As a crucial liaison between the SCC IT team and the data management committee, you will integrate data standards, facilitate development, and manage architecture changes.
Acting as an IT Data steward, you will support business objectives and lead technical development efforts to enhance systems and data representation.
Your role will involve creating and implementing technical methods and data processing systems to optimize access to information stored in databases, while also performing bottleneck analysis and contributing to application and data development tasks.
Some of the duties include:
Design, develop, test, and implement stable and effective data-driven technologies.
Optimize and maintain legacy systems for efficiency and high performance.
Modify databases using tools like SSIS, SSRS, and Database projects in Visual Studio and Team Foundations.
Solve database issues and ensure user interface standardization with a focus on data-first thinking.
Act as a data steward to support requirements gathering and identify new features.
Lead efforts to ensure database programs meet agency development standards and performance requirements.
Research and identify new database products, protocols, services, and best practices.
Identify and research system data issues and improvement opportunities for SCC data-driven systems.
Conduct full lifecycle systems analysis, including requirements, design, and development of analysis and reports.
Provide expert-level technical knowledge in metadata definition, architecture, and data structure requirements, documentation, and development strategies.

Required Qualifications:
Four (4) years of experience in Object Oriented (OO)
Programming Language such as:
Net, Java, C++, SQL, Python, or other OO programming languages.
Four (4) years of experience working with data development tools, platforms, products, and APl's such as:
IDE - Visual Studio 2015 or comparable IDE
Source Control - TFS 2015 or greater or comparable
Data Management tools - SQL SSMS 2017 or greater or comparable
High technical expertise in data driven technologies and languages, specifically SQL, SSIS, SSMS, SSRS or equivalent in other specified languages or platforms.

Eight (8) or more years of professional
Associate Degree in Information Technology specializing in data or application development; AND
Six (6) or more years of professional
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology; AND
Four (4) or more years of professional
Master's Degree in Information Technology, with computer science specialization; AND
Two (2) or more years of professional
Preferred Qualifications:
Seven (7) years' experience in Programming languages for SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSMS, MVC, ASP.Net JavaScript, ASP.Net, JQuery, JSON, XML, CSS.
Seven (7) years' experience using Frameworks, & Architectures knowledge in following areas: Web Services, SOAP Services, REST Services, WCF, MVC.
