Service Technician
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team and contribute to the success of our service operations.
The Service Technician will play a crucial role in developing and supporting the technical skills and customer service capabilities of the Service Team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with a background in bandsaw operations being a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Training and Coaching:
Provide comprehensive training and coaching to the Service Team to enhance their technical skills and customer service capabilities.
Technical Support:
Offer technical support to service distributors, independent contractors, and direct employees, ensuring efficient machine installations, upgrades, repairs, and accessory installations.
Customer Satisfaction:
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by meeting and exceeding customer expectations through various service activities, including work order processing, telephone and field service support, and warranty issue resolution.
Network Maintenance:
Establish and maintain a robust customer service network, consisting of service distributors, independent contractors, and direct employees, through continuous training and support.
Product Quality Feedback:
Develop and implement systems to report product quality and service feedback, facilitating continuous improvement efforts.
Service Training:
Coordinate and conduct service training sessions, both on-site and off-site, to equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Parts Sales andTechnical Support:
Provide technical support for parts sales, ensuring customers receive the right solutions for their needs.
Sales Support:
Collaborate with the sales team by providing support for tradeshows, demonstrations, applications, and testing, contributing to the overall sales effort.
CPC Support:
Assist with PC (Performance Cloud) product installation and service support as required.
Job Requirements:
Strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic components, with the ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings effectively.
Hands-on mechanical skills and experience, with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in bandsaw operations or related machinery is highly desirable.
Previous experience in a service technician role or similar field is advantageous.
