    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities for Logistics Services Officers may include, but are not limited to:

    - Managing NSA worldwide vehicle assets, to include the administration of funds for procurement and maintenance.

    - Initiating and executing all travel needs in association with official travel performed in support of the NSA mission.

    - Providing cafeterias and morale and welfare services support to the Agency workforce.

    - Performing functions related to inbound shipments of materials received by the Agency, which include unloading trucks, inspecting material for damage, reviewing paperwork, and in-checking materials.

    - Interacting directly with CONUS and OCONUS customers, acting as point of contact for any questions, status updates, complaints, concerns, etc. regarding any logistics function.

    - Performing contract activities, including assignment as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COR/COTR).

    - Assisting Agency employees with commuter and ridesharing options and parking, as well as official local travel requirements.

    - Placing traffic cones, stanchions, and other forms of vehicle and customer controls along roadways and in parking lots, as required for projects or events.

    - Staging and removing materials necessary to support Agency events.

    - Working outdoor Agency events, often including walking or standing for extended periods of time, and extended duty hours.

    - Providing support for all shipments, excess, and storage, and acknowledge all deliveries of accountable-property, and update information in the centralized database to maintain database integrity.

    - Performing statistical and graphical analysis on various aspects of resources management that could include the rate of execution of funding, size and cost, and success in obtaining appropriations for new program requests.

    - Managing accountable property and assisting in performing yearly inventories.

    - Providing superior customer service support to Agency customers.

    - Performing on the spot troubleshooting and decision-making.

    - Developing and completing spreadsheets; monitor statistics and formulate them into spreadsheets.

    Job Summary

    Do you have logistics experience and knowledge? NSA is looking for well-rounded, experienced logisticians that can meet and exceed customer expectations to meet mission objectives. Specific duties and assignments within Logistics will be dependent upon position availability at the time of candidate's clearance.

    Qualifications

    The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for this position.

    Degree in a Logistics related field (e.g., Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Property, Cargo, Inventory Management, Transportation, Travel, Process Engineering, and Industrial Engineering) is preferred.

    Relevant experience must be working in a logistics environment (e.g., purchasing, supply chain management, property, inventory management, and transportation/travel). Senior level: Formal or informal supervisory or project management experience is required.

    FULL PERFORMANCE
    Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered.

    SENIOR
    Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered.

    Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following is desired:

    - General knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, warehousing, transportation
    - Skilled in working with people of all disciplines, grades, and competency levels and able to work in multiple databases simultaneously.
    - Readiness to perform any of the logistics responsibilities as determined upon final job offer
    - Advanced knowledge of food service consulting, design, operations, and equipment, and ability to effectively communicate/collaborate with management, architects, engineers, and vendor partners.
    - Warehouse duties to include sorting and moving materials, loading and unloading of materials and equipment
    - Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
    - Automated systems (Desktop Systems, Navigation Systems, Internet/Intranet)

    Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

    Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

    Salary Range: $73,591 - $161,131 (Full Performance, Senior)
    Salary range varies by location, work level, and relevant experience to the position. This position is hiring for Texas.

    On the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee.

    Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8 hr/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible).
