Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data Services Team.

*Please note this is a hybrid role requiring the employee to work out of our Parsippany, NJ office on Tuesday and Wednesdays*

Responsibilities

As Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in:

• Designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
• Creating efficient data models and architectures.
• Integrating data from various sources seamlessly.
• Managing and optimizing data storage and retrieval processes.
• Ensuring data quality, governance and security.
• Collaborate with top-notch professionals to solve complex problems.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 10+ years experience of data engineering and/or ETL experience
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong knowledge of ETL tools and data integration techniques.
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, or Scala.
• Understanding of big data technologies and frameworks is a plus (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Kafka).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
