    Position Summary:

    As a Project API Technician, you will work with a safety-first team of API's and Level II NDE Technicians, and the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API Standards. This is a project- based position to assist with fall shutdown outages. The project will start depending on units between mid-July to end-August and will last approximately two - three months, depending on volume and business needs.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Applicant must hold a current API 510, 653 or 570 and must be technically competent and knowledgeable in the application of the current inspection codes.
    • NDE experience in UT, MT, PT.
    • This Role includes delivery of services on time, safety and with the highest quality possible.
    • Customer service oriented
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
    • Observe and learn proper documentation process for internal and on-stream inspections.
    • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
    • Actively participates in JSA and uses all necessary steps to complete tasks safely and ensures the safety of others working in the area.
    • Communicates with all levels of management and crew to effectively present any needs and changes.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
    • Ability to adhere to a written method or procedure.
    • Confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.
    • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, preferred.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products, preferred.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding inspection technology, preferred.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    Management Responsibilities:

    • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications):

    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Technical education, preferred, or working toward completion of technical education, or equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
    • Current Driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
    • Valid driver's license
    • Ability to pass a Background Security check.

    Environmental/Working Conditions:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    • Must be comfortable in confined spaces
    • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in extreme temperatures and weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

    Other Considerations/Requirements:

    • The position consists of an approximate 12 hour workdays after training is complete. Monday-Saturday with some Sundays possible, every 14th days is required to be off unless customer waivers this requirement.
    • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
