    Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

    Position Summary:

    Provides technical expertise and guidance for environmental programs and services. Evaluates and monitors company practices to ensure compliance with all environmental governmental regulations. Develops environmental, programs that result in cost savings and reduction in the companys environmental footprint and potential environmental legal liabilities. This position will manage environmental team.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Lead multidisciplinary project teams in environmental project management; monitoring program design and sample collection; data analysis, representation and interpretation; hydrodynamic and air dispersion modeling; remedial investigation and feasibility studies; cost estimating, remedy evaluation/design/construction; remedial action implementation; legal and regulatory interpretation; compliance and reporting; facility operation and maintenance for multiple environmental remediation sites as well as environmental due diligence for existing and proposed locations

    Team leader, client contact, primary communicator with regulatory agencies (US EPA and state and local agencies), as well as with the media and public stakeholders. Projects will be performed under CERCLA (Superfund) consent or administrative orders and/or state/local regulatory program requirements

    Project manager (PM) will be responsible for overall remediation site strategies with input from the project team and communication of that strategy to MSI management and legal team for their approval

    Responsible for financial projections for remediation reserves, budget, scope of work, schedule, project team organization and management and cost management (budget and cost tracking, purchase orders, invoice processing, etc.)

    PM is expected to also communicate well and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders such as technical teams and committees, public and media representatives

    Ability to impact a range of stakeholders, including customers, executives, peers, visitors, and site personnel.

    Proactive in advising management on HES matters

    Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):

    Bachelors degree in engineering, geology/hydrology, or environmental science

    10+ years of experience as a technical lead and/or project manager on environmental remediation sites

    Preferred Skills:

    Experience managing Superfund processes including remedial investigation/feasibility studies, remedy design, construction and implementation

    Strong skills in technical writing, presentations, and communications

    Advanced degree(s) and/or professional certification a plus

    Training and experience in public and media communications a plus

    Experience with managing sites involving a variety of chemicals of concern (organics and inorganics) in soils, air and groundwater
