Job Description The OR Director of Surgical Services is responsible for the management of the OR, PACU, Ambulatory Care, Endoscopy, Autoclaving and Pain Clinic.

Plans, organizes, directs, and supervises the

operation/activities

in those departments.

This position not only provides supervision of the unit activities but is also responsible for operational management, communication and patient experience, education and development of staff, and the overall clinical guidance for OR nursing practices.

The ideal candidate will display a strong interpersonal communication style to effectively lead the multiple departments and will demonstrate a high degree of initiative in getting the work done, as well as promoting the service line.

Requirements:

Must have (or be eligible to obtain) a valid GA RN license, Bachelors degree in Nursing, strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products, web based products, and EMR (preferably Meditech), and five (5) years Nursing leadership experience.

Prefer Masters degree in Nursing or related field and five or more years experience in Perioperative Services Specialty.
