    Description


    Position Title:
    Database Assistant



    Classification:
    Non-exempt


    Reports to:
    Database Supervisor


    The Database Assistant is responsible for assisting the Database Supervisor, Vendor Account Manager(s), Logistics Management Specialist, and Accounting Team with daily production needs.

    The Database Assistant is also responsible for maintaining an accurate log of all incoming product as well as adding this information to the Project Management spreadsheet.


    Essential Functions

    • Interprets and processes Vendor offers and invoices.
    • Maintains an accurate log of vendor offers and incoming product.
    • Coordinates with the Accounting Team to ensure financial transactions are documented and processed properly.
    • Adds incoming product to the Project Management spreadsheet and prepares projects for processing in accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for daily accuracy of Project Management spreadsheet.
    • Compiles data for reporting and analysis.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Requirements


    Competencies

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
    • Basic knowledge of Google Spreadsheets.
    • Solid computer skills.
    • Strong attention to details.
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Independent worker able to plan and prioritize workflow.
    • Excellent follow-up and tracking skills.
    • Excellent multi-tasking skills.

    Required Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Computer skills, 1-2 years' experience with Excel and Google Spreadsheets.

    Supervisory Responsibility
    No direct supervisory duties, though management of projects includes directing project related activities of the project team members.


    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms.
