- Prioritize and manage multiple projects, providing progress updates against technical/cost/schedule goals
- Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering field
- Practical experience in early product research and development
- 3+ years of consumer product innovation experience
- Empathetic listening skills and voice of the consumer
- Excited by technical brainstorming in a team setting
- Strong practical design skills including CAD modeling and engineering drawings
- Proficient in the design and hands-on application of various prototyping and manufacturing methods, such as 3D printing, machining, sheet metal, injection molding
- Capable of devising feasibility tests to validate early proof-of-concept
- Comfortable with hands-on prototype fabrication and testing
- Proficient in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Reports to Manager, Sr. Manager, or Director.
- Key relationships internally will include: Professional and technical staff in the Department. Product Development and Innovation Teams. All RD&E, Marketing, Program Management, Legal Staff Quality Assurance and Manufacturing
- Key External relationships will include: Consultants Vendors
- Some travel may be required

The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
