    Description

    Job Description Position Description Require services of contract language instructors with professional proficiency in foreign language speaking, reading, and listening skills to work 40 hours a week spending approximately 20 hours of teaching and 20 hours of lesson development, student assessment and testing.

    Shall demonstrate knowledge of the respective areas history, culture, politics, and economy, as well as working knowledge of foreign language learning technology and teaching methods.

    They will work under the direction of experience senior trained instructors.

    Once on the program, contract instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teaching mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing to become certified according to Sponsor standards.

    Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree (Education or Language preferred)


    • 5+ years of relevant experience providing language instruction to adults to include:
    • Language instruction/facilitation.
    • Language testing.
    • Content Management - Text and multimedia content is selected, edited, and posted for online presentation/teaching.
    • Designing, developing, and implementing language course, content, etc.
    • Editing translator's translations/interpretations.
    • Quality control translator's translations/interpretations.
    • Summarizing/gisting pertinent details of text or recorded material providing an easily digested format.
    • Providing written report of student's progressive, etc.
    • Must pass language testing with ILR 4+ in translation (Italian>English) and 4/4/4 in speaking, listening, and reading.
