- Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
- BSN required; a Master's Degree in Nursing preferred or as required by the state.
- A terminal degree or active pursuit of a terminal degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of didactic or clinical nursing teaching experience.
- Current CPR certification as a healthcare provider.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Current clinical nursing knowledge within area of specialty and ongoing maintenance of clinical competency.
- Recent clinical experience in area of specialty as required by accrediting bodies.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, faculty, and students as a member of a team.

Position Description:
The Simulation Director collaborates with faculty to provide for consistent, consecutive and relevant student learning experiences to meet course and clinical objectives in the simulation lab. This person designs, develops, implements and evaluates scenarios, simulated learning activities and educational materials for all NUR courses in collaboration with nursing faculty, staff and other users of the simulation lab. Ensures supervision of students in the lab, while maintaining safe practices and abiding by all established policies and procedures for the lab. Support the development of the program's philosophy, objectives, conceptual framework, curriculum, policies, and assure fulfillment of standards of the Board of Nursing and other regulatory agencies.
