    Job Description Summary

    The Security Manager will assist the Director of Security to make our communities safer for our residents and staff. The primary duties include performing security assessments, reviewing incident reporting and follow-up, and overseeing independent firms that provide security services on a contractual basis at our properties.

    The Security Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the performance of our security vendors and their compliance with Enterprise policies and procedures.

    Job Description

    • Review daily activity reports from the contract security companies to discern patterns and incidents. Follow-up on any incidents noted in the reports. Communicate important information in the reports to the Director and assist with any strategic response plans.
    • Actively manage the contract security companies to ensure they are performing the contracted scope of services. Professionally communicate with the security companies and ensure issues are being followed-up on.
    • Conduct bi-weekly check-in meetings with property management staff and their respective security companies. Follow-up on any issues that have been identified.
    • Attend community meetings on behalf of the security team. Engage with residents, local law enforcement, community leaders, activists, resident services and other stakeholders.
    • Identify, investigate and resolve security breaches.
    • Prepare comprehensive security reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses or violations of Enterprise policies and procedures.

    Experience, Education, Training and Qualifications

    • Ten years of security or law enforcement experience
    • Private security certifications highly desirable
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to work independently but also in a team environment.
    • The ability to treat residents and colleagues with a mission-first mindset and professional courtesy is paramount.
    • Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and follow up skills.
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft Suite tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • The base salary for this role is $95,000 annually, depending on level of skills and experience.
    • The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance. The salary range is just a part of the total rewards package provided to employees at Enterprise, and other rewards may include annual performance bonuses and generous paid leave programs.

    Work Location and Work Time

    • The home office for Enterprise Community Development and Enterprise Residential is in Baltimore. Enterprise also has offices in Columbia, Silver Spring, Washington, DC, and New York City, and satellite offices elsewhere.The Security Manager will be assigned a primary office location by their respective manager for regular in-person attendance and meetings. Video conferencing is used almost daily and on multiple occasions within a workday.
    • Every effort will be made to have a work week consist of 40 hours but given the nature of the property management business and its administrative requirements, additional work time will likely be required.
