    Description:


    As Data Center Software Architect, you are responsible for unifying our software development teams around technical direction based on leading customer infrastructure and solutions requirements.

    With direct end user and partner engagements you will help define critical software, platform and SOC priorities and deliverables for server, hyperscale and data center solutions, proactively engage in customer programs, assist in expanding our ecosystem partnership program, and help inspire our world class engineering team.

    You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that we deliver the highest quality and most feature robust software solutions with leading performance and power efficiency.

    You will have an opportunity to engage broadly with our customers and third parties on enablement of new platforms, enhanced industry standards, and optimizations for our microarchitecture.


    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Lead technical engagements and solution strategy definition with key customers, endusers, and partners for the server, hyperscale and data center compute segments.
    • Translate customer product feature and performance requirements into internal and partner engineering deliverables across SOC, platform and software.
    • Work closely with silicon and software performance teams to model and predict leading application performance and competitive positioning.
    • Engage with leading open platform and opensource software communities to advocate for key architectural enhancements and solution improvements that support our product directions
    • Assist in the definition of future server class SoC and platform requirements and collaborate with silicon design and software engineering teams on features for compatibility, power, performance, and scalability leveraging feedback and input from key customers and partners.

    Requirement:

    Minimum Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8 years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

    OR

    Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7 years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

    OR

    PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6 years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • BS / MS in an engineering discipline related to HW or SW fields
    • Advanced knowledge of Computer Architecture concepts, including high performance server class architectures, weak memory models, large scale devops, complex software design and server platforms
    • 5 years of experience working in opensource software development for server and infrastructure computing segments.
    • Experience in collaborating with customers or partners to optimize platforms for server and infrastructure solutions and deployment
    • 3 years of experience in defining, porting, and optimizing software stacks for server class platforms with development languages including C , LLVM, Java and Python
    • 2 years of experience in deploying advanced workloads at scale in hyperscale or enterprise production environments
    • Experience in working "upstream first" with the Linux kernel and toolchain communities
    • Knowledge of server platforms specifications such as UEFI, ACPI, etc.
    • Knowledge of and experience with Arm architecture, Arm standards such as SBSA, and Arm based SOC implementations.
    • Selfstarter who takes initiative and consistently demonstrates technical leadership to both internal teams and external partners and communities
