    Description
    Plans, organizes, orchestrates, directs and monitors the delivery of patient care for Radiation Oncology. Satisfies requirements for regulatory and credentialing agencies. Addresses patient and medical staff needs and concerns. Manages processes to ensure patient's rights and confidentiality. Interfaces the delivery of services other areas of the hospital. Maintains liaison between hospital administration, medical staff, and contractual organizations. Administers and/or establishes hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Collects, generates, analyzes, and distributes statistical reports as required. Manages the Quality Monitoring and Performance Improvement activities of Radiation Oncology. Assists with development of long-range operational plans relative to services, programs, capital, and human resources. Develops annual departmental revenue, expense, and personnel budgets for the department. Clearly defines authority and responsibility for all Radiation Oncology employees. Encourages the professional growth of direct reports. Evaluates and counsels employees relative to performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to departmental and hospital rules and regulations. Performs onboarding and training oversight of new employees in Radiation Oncology. Performs any other duties as requested by Director of Oncology services.


    • Provide appropriate level of management for all activities of the SRH Radiation Oncology. Develops service goals based on department and organization's strategic plan. Direct responsibility for the planning, scheduling, and procedural changes in Invasive areas. Direct responsibility of personnel performance evaluations. Ensures compliance with licensing and regulatory standards (Federal, State, and DNV) in all areas of responsibility.
    • Develops and overseas in collaboration with the Oncology service Line Leaders annual budget and expense and monitors operations to ensure cost effective use of resources and staff.
    • Analyzes and understands trends, outcomes, financials, and patient experience metrics and implements associated process improvement initiatives and trends.
    • Works with clinical leadership to develop standards of care and clinical pathways for the evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for services offered in areas of responsibility
    • Works with various departments within the organization to promote optimal and effective operations and growth of the Oncology Service Line.
    • Promotes staff development through performance evaluation, coaching, identifying development goals, and arranging educational opportunities that enhance and encourage continued professional growth among team members.
