- Following direction and guidance of CIH Service / Install Coordinator and or Service Manager for all work performed and complete duties as assigned.
- Good workmanship in all activities including installation of door hardware and thorough daily cleanup to the pre-install department.
- Coordination with CIH Service Install Coordinator and or Service Manager, as required to ensure the work is completed properly and in alignment with customer expectations.
- Seeks out training on new skills and installation techniques and diligently listens and consistently applies knowledge gained to grow expertise as a CIH pre-install technician.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Service Install Coordinator and or Service & Installation Manager
- Participate in any and all applicable training opportunities for both safety and this position.
- Install, fabricate, and prep commercial hollow metal/wood doors, with associated hardware.
- Report daily job progress to Service Install Coordinator.
- Reviewing packing slips and materials to assure suitability for the intended application before starting work.
- Work a flexible schedule as needed when work dictates.
- No relevant experience required; some construction experience preferred.
- Ability to utilize a tape measure and level, preferred.
- Meet or exceed the skill requirements of this position.
- Pre-employment background and drug screening
- No issue with repetitive use of fingers and hands, standing, squatting, bending and lifting up to 40lbs.
- Able to work at heights off of ladders, scaffolding, lifts, platforms, etc.
- Basic computer skills
- OSHA 10 preferred, but not required
