    Provides administrative or office support to Houston-based Corporate Tax managers and personnel

    Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
    Provide administrative support to the Houston-based Corporate Tax managers and personnel

    Create and update legal matters in CVX internal matter management system (TeamConnect)

    Process e-billings, invoices and payments within and outside applicable software systems (TeamConnect, SMART GEP and CAPP and set-up vendors)

    Coordinate logistics, agendas and presentation materials for on and offsite meetings, conferences and special functions


    Coordinate and track international and domestic travel logistics, including details needed for visas, immunizations, photos, passport renewals, detailed itineraries, etc.

    Expense reconciliation and reporting (CTREX)

    Draft and send broad communication to Houston-based Corporate Tax personnel

    Coordinate employee and contractor on/off-boarding

    Maintain organizational charts and contacts list

    Maintain domestic and international tax publications and research materials

    Maintain out of office calendar for Houston-based tax personnel

    Act as an information resource around computer systems, support software and hardware technical support

    Work closely and collaboratively with Corporate Tax executive assistant and other department administrative assistants

    Work collaboratively with other administrative assistants cross functionally on shared initiatives

    Maintain office supplies, order ergo equipment and purchase other goods and services (P-Card)

    Assist with other duties and special projects, as assigned by Houston-based Corporate Tax managers


    Required Qualifications:
    Demonstrated high level of initiative, independence and the ability to anticipate needs and requirements

    Self-starter who is adept at working in a team environment and partnering with managers, business partners and staff

    Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels

    Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at all levels of the organization

    Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, multi-task and follow through on commitments

    Ability to contribute your perspective in a professional manner

    Ability to give effective feedback (both positive and constructive) and receive feedback (both positive and constructive) and act upon it

    Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive business and personnel matters

    Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools (i.e., Excel, Forms, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word) and the ability to quickly learn new tools


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Proficiency in SharePoint, TeamConnect and Power BI

    Experience with e-billing, matter management systems and setting up vendors in payment system
