    Vaupell Midwest (Constantine, MI) is plastic injection molding location focusing on manufacturing in medical, aerospace, defense, and other sectors.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Operate assigned machinery.
    • Clip, trim, visually inspect and package quality product as required in the job instruction sheet
    • Follow all Vaupell policies and procedures
    • Must follow all safety rules and procedures at all times
    • Accurate reporting of all scrap produced during the shift
    • Follow all Five "S" requirements.
    • Bolt, clip, screw, cements heat stake or otherwise fasten parts together.
    • Use CNC or Mill.
    • Makes sure area is clean and set-up properly.

    Additional responsibilities for operators performing Medical Device assembly operations.

    • Complete record keeping documents as required for Device History Record files.
    • Must follow specific environmental and product procedures and/or protocol to ensure accurate and traceable documentation of products.

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to read, analyze and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
    • Effective and understandable professional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • General knowledge of computers and able to input information.
    • Capable of operating basic hand tools, fixtures, and machinery such as drill press, mill, lathe, etc. with or without an accommodation.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, or feel and reach parts with or without an accommodation. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear with or without an accommodation.
    • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
