    Description


    The Quality Control Engineer plays a crucial role in upholding our project's quality standards as outlined in our comprehensive quality control plan.

    This individual is entrusted with a broad spectrum of quality assurance tasks, both in the field and within the office setting, utilizing their judgment and expertise to make informed recommendations related to quality control.

    They are tasked with the implementation of quality control policies and procedures, addressing a diverse range of quality-related issues. While primarily dedicated to a single project, the role may extend support to additional projects as needed.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for the owners quality assurance team regarding quality issues.
    Demonstrate technical proficiency in understanding project specifications, standards, and code requirements across various disciplines.
    Engage actively in submittal reviews, quality control meetings, and preparatory discussions.

    Conduct thorough initial and follow-up inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant codes, overseeing the punch list process.

    This encompasses material inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and appropriate storage, handling, and staging practices.
    Keep detailed records of inspections, tests, and findings, initiating and tracking deficiency reports until resolved to all parties' satisfaction.

    Collaborate closely with trade partners' quality control teams, reviewing their QC logs and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions as necessary.

    Facilitate the coordination and scheduling of third-party tests and inspections, liaising with external testing agencies as required.


    Qualifications for the Position:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
    At least 1-2 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction projects.
    Possession of a valid Drivers License.
    Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
    Capable of juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively, with strong follow-up skills both within the organization and externally.
    Thrives under pressure in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment.
    Comprehensive understanding of compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and reporting requirements.


    Compensation & Benefits:

    Salary Range:
    The compensation for this position ranges between $75,000 and $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
