    Description

    Firmware Engineer Role at Molex

    We are seeking a highly experienced Firmware Engineer to develop cutting-edge 224 Gbps active cable solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting, evaluating, validating, and designing real-time firmware. Your expertise will be critical in collaborating with Hyperscale customers and marketing teams to understand their application needs and translate those requirements into innovative solutions.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to work under leadership that has set and driven industry standards in data centers for over 30 years. The position is eligible for hybrid or remote work, with occasional travel to our global HQ in Lisle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop firmware for ARM Cortex M-Processors
    • Work with serial protocols like I2C, SPI, MDIO, UART etc.
    • Collaborate on optical pluggable modules like SFP or QSFP and CMIS
    • Integrate and debug complex systems
    • Develop Python scripts for firmware loading and validation


    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Science
    • Strong experience in C and C++
    • Experience with STM32 microcontroller
    • Knowledge of RTOS development
