- Serving as a preceptor to new team members and/or students.
- Performing respiratory care procedures such as oxygen delivery, ventilator care, and bronchial therapy.
- Assessing patients' physical status and response to therapy.
- Explaining treatments and therapeutic goals to patients.
- Conducting patient assessments and treatments according to physician orders.
- Setting up and maintaining oxygen therapy.
- Instructing patients and families on various respiratory therapies.
- Procuring specimens for testing and analysis.
- Responding to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations when necessary.
- Graduate of an AMA approved school for Respiratory Care.
- Licensing & Certifications: Current Respiratory Care License, NBRC credentialed, RRT, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures.
